4,000 students from 32 primary schools in Kyauk Phyu township of the western state of Rakhine, Myanmar had received Panda Packs and T-shirts from CITIC Consortium and China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) during the first week of November 2019. Each Panda Pack is a schoolbag full of stationeries such as color pencils and drawing papers.

Last year, CITIC and CFPA had given out the first batch of 3000 Panda Packs and 3000 T-shirts to students in the township, cheering the students and teachers.

"The panda is a unique and rare animal from China and the most lovely and popular idol in the world, symbolizing China and Chinese elements. By donating school supplies to local students, CITIC Consortium hopes to create better study conditions for local students”, said CITIC Myanmar's Deputy Managing Director Mr. Frank Ma Chuanfu. “We will also give out the next batch of 2000 Panda Packs by the end of this year", he added.
