Myanmar government and CITIC Group value information sharing with project local communities. In January 2016, Kyauk Phyu SEZ Management Committee delegation visited Kyauk Phyu and held face-to-face meetings with local residents to discuss local people’s concerns. CITIC Consortium representatives were invited to attend these meetings and received feedbacks from these meetings.
A public consultation was held to hear local people’s advice on their livelihood needs on September 2, 2023, as part of the efforts to design fit-for-purpose livelihood programs to enhance people's living conditions and professional skills. Integrated into the brand of Kyaukphyu Anargat, such programs include Mobile Clinic, Teenage Capacity Building, Smiling Children Nutritious Lunch and Mangrove Plantation.
In October, CITIC Group representatives met with Myanmar media delegation in Beijing.
In November 2016, CITIC Myanmar's MD Mr. Yuan Shaobin spoke on Belt and Road Sustainable Business Dialogue co-hosted by UNDP.
