A public consultation was held to hear local people’s advice on their livelihood needs on September 2, 2023, as part of the efforts to design fit-for-purpose livelihood programs to enhance people's living conditions and professional skills. Integrated into the brand of Kyaukphyu Anargat, such programs include Mobile Clinic, Teenage Capacity Building, Smiling Children Nutritious Lunch and Mangrove Plantation.
 
 
 
 
CITIC Myanmar launched 2023 Kyaukphyu Anargat Mobile Clinic
 
In September 2023, CITIC Myanmar kicked off a new round of Kyaukphyu Anargat Mobile Clinic offering basic medical services to local residents. The 6-month clinic is slated to cover 30 villages, including 20 covered in the round of 2022. During this round of the program, better services will be delivered with enhanced medical equipment.
 

 

Myanmar government and CITIC Group value information sharing with project local communities. In January 2016, Kyauk Phyu SEZ Management Committee delegation visited Kyauk Phyu and held face-to-face meetings with local residents to discuss local people’s concerns. CITIC Consortium representatives were invited to attend these meetings and received feedbacks from these meetings.

 

 

In October 2017, CITIC Group representatives met with Myanmar media delegation in Beijing.

In November 2016, CITIC Myanmar's MD Mr. Yuan Shaobin spoke on Belt and Road Sustainable Business Dialogue co-hosted by UNDP.

 

 

CITIC Myanmar has been in cooperation with China Foundation for Rural Development on CSR programs for Myanmar. 

 

 

CITIC Myanmar Managing Director Mr. Liang Chuanxin visited the Honorary President of Myanmar Association for the Elderly to seek advice on what CSR efforts can be made to enhance local people's livelihoods. 

In September 2023, CITIC Myanmar Managing Director Mr. Liang Chuanxin met with KBZ Group Chairman U Aung Ko Win to exchange views on Kyaukphyu Project and opportunities for business cooperation.
